Formal Training is now available in GFoundry, introducing two new building blocks - Training Programs and Curricula - that bring structure, deadlines, enrollment, and assessment to your learning operations.
Beyond micro-learning (short, focused content), organizations can now plan, assign, track, and evaluate training in a structured way. Training Programs aggregate multiple Content items with rules around deadlines, mandatory completion, enrollment type, and multi-stage assessment. Curricula group several Training Programs into long-term learning paths, supporting progression by role, seniority, or internal academy.

What is a Training Program?
A Training Program is a formal program composed of multiple Content items, with additional controls to ensure execution and compliance.
- Structured sequencing - aggregate and reorder Content items to define the learning flow
- Target audience - assign by groups and/or specific users
- Deadlines and calendar - set a start date and deadline rules (fixed date, X days after assignment, etc.)
- Mandatory vs recommended - define whether completion is required or optional
- Enrollment modes - automatic, approval-based, or self-enrollment
- Multi-stage assessment - configure up to three evaluation points: Initial Assessment (before starting), Knowledge Test (during or at the end), and Validation (impact check after a defined period)
What is a Curriculum?
A Curriculum groups multiple Training Programs into a single long-term learning path - ideal for role-based academies, certifications, or onboarding journeys.
- Curriculum items - a reorderable list of Training Programs
- Per-item mandatory flag - mark individual programs as required within the path
- Sequential completion - optionally enforce order, preventing learners from skipping ahead
- Path-level assessment - Initial Assessment, Knowledge Test, and Validation can also be configured at the Curriculum level
Why this matters
- End-to-end training management - from content creation to assignment, tracking, and impact measurement, all in one place
- Compliance-ready - mandatory programs with fixed deadlines and enrollment controls make regulatory training straightforward
